Centar igre Travno – mjesto za male i velike svih nacija

Centar igre i knjižnica igračaka Travno je centar u zajednici za djecu i odrasle svih generacija koji putem intergeneracijskog, interkulturalnog i intersektorskog pristupa nudi prilike za učenje i igru. Dio je međunarodne inicijative TOY4Inclusion, odnosno mreže od oko 40 centara u Europi, a u Hrvatskoj ih koordinira POU Korak po korak.

Otvoren u naselju Travno 2024. godine uz financijsku podršku Grada Zagreba i Kulturnog Centra Travno te u partnerstvu s Are You Syrious, ovaj centar ima za cilj okupiti djecu i odrasle stanovnike ovog i okolnih naselja. Posebno smo usmjereni na djecu u nepovoljnom položaju i riziku od socijalne isključenosti, poput onih koji žive u Prihvatilištu za tražitelje azila Porin, kao i svu drugu djecu našeg grada koja trebaju sigurno i kreativno mjesto za igru.

U našem mobilnom centru kojeg dijelimo s drugim korisnicima Kulturnog centra Travno aktivnosti koordiniraju Iva Škarica, profesorica hrvatskog jezika i sociologije iz udruge Are You Syrious i Ines Vrečko, psihoterapeutkinja i trenerica POU Korak po korak, a povremeno im se pridruži i učiteljica hrvatskog jezika i voditeljica inicijative u Koraku, Marina Matešić. Rado primamo volontere, goste i sve koji bi htjeli donirati igračke, igre ili materijal za rad s djecom. Pratite nas na društvenim mrežama.

Za sudjelovanje je potrebna samo dobra volja i otvoreno srce. Otvoreni smo ponedjeljkom i srijedom od 13:30 do 16:00.

The Play Hub in Travno is a community center for children and adults of all generations, offering opportunities for learning and play through an intergenerational, intercultural, and intersectoral approach. It is part of the international TOY4Inclusion initiative, a network of about 40 centers across Europe, coordinated in Croatia by the Open Academy Step by Step  .
Opened in the Travno neighborhood in 2024, with financial support from the City of Zagreb and the Travno Cultural Center, the Hub aims to bring together residents of this and surrounding neighborhoods. It focuses particularly on children in vulnerable situations and at risk of social exclusion, such as those living in the Porin Asylum Seekers’ Shelter, but also welcomes all other children from our city who need a safe and creative place to play.
At our Hub, which we share with other users of the Travno Cultural Center, activities are coordinated by Iva Škarica, a professor of Croatian language and sociology from the Are You Syrious association, and Ines Vrečko, a counselor and Step by Step trainer. Occasionally, Marina Matešić, a Croatian language teacher and coordinator of the initiative at Step by Step, joins them.
We are happy to welcome volunteers, guests, and anyone who would like to donate toys, games, or materials for working with children. Follow our program on our  social media channel.

Participation only requires goodwill and an open heart. We are open on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM.
